Guitar Hero II Patch Killing 360s
Apparently there's an issue with the whammy bar on the Guitar Hero II for the Xbox 360s Guitar. Well, a patch has been released by Red Octane to rectifiy the issue, only it's breaking 360s instead.
A pile of users are reporting that after installing the patch their systems are locking up and freezing. Some are getting the three red lights of death, usually followed by more freezing.
So far the only solution offered by Micosoft is to have the consol sent in for repairs. So if you want to keep your 360 in working order, pass on the patch until more info is known.

Top 10 Domains on Digg
Here's a very interesting post on the domains most often on the Digg homepage (as well as the domains with the most Diggs) between March 14 - April 14 2007.
Here's a copy\paste of the top 5:
#1 arstechnica.com - 121 homepage stories - 91277 total diggsArs Technica is an obvious number 1. They rarely post top-ranking articles, with only 3,100 diggs on their top article over the time period observed, however they have a staple line of about 4 smaller articles per day reaching the homepage.
#2 - www.engadget.com - 84 homepage stories - 66409 total diggsEngadget takes two from all the geeky pleasures Diggers get from prototype phones and ipod rumors.
#3 - www.nytimes.com - 44 homepage stories - 36487 total diggsUsually hosting stories of school-related misconduct or political polls, the New York Times often provides a trustworthy medium for widely known stories. For example, today’s New York Times article about Google buying DoubleClick reached homepage, trumping over the dozens of other submitted sources about the same story.
#4 - consumerist.com - 41 homepage stories - 59473 total diggs“Caveat Emptor” is a widely popular theme among Diggers, and I believe the Consumerist is a medium Digg uses to connect together and raise awareness of corporate misconduct.
#5 - gizmodo.com - 33 homepage stories - 34729 total diggsGoing hang-in-hand with number 2 ranked Engadget, Gizmodo further supports with Digg’s geeky gadget addiction.

Canadian Retail
Alright, I need some help here.
I've come to the conclusion lately that it's pretty hard to find Canadian based sites (or at least sites with good online selection that ship to Canada for a decent price or at all).
For example, we were attempting to purchase a pair of size five womens asics shoes the other day. Sounds pretty straight forward right, not so much.
Amazon.com - great site. Amazon.ca - WTF? If you are not looking for a DVD, CD or Book, forget it!
We finally found a pair from eBay.ca but man, what a pain in the neck!
So, in this post, I would like to ask anyone reading this, to post any sites (that ship to Canada) that have good products. I'm hopping to be able to assemble a complete list of online shopping, regardless of what one might be looking for.
I'll start by listing sights I like and or use with a description of what they offer.
Futureshop.ca - A great site for everything electronic (from PCs, to blank media, to DVDs). Futureshop has almost everything.
BestBuy.ca - Basically the same as Futureshop (Futureshop is actually the Canadian counterpart to BB, they also share the same stock).
Vistek.ca - A friend of mine pointed this site out to me the other day, and wow is it a good one. For all your digital camera needs - lenses, camera bags and everything else you can imagine - this site has it all.
eBay.ca - No explanation needed (right?).
Amazon.ca - Although not as comprehensive as it's American counter part, it's still a great place for CD's, DVD's and Books. It also let's you pay with PayPal which is nice.
Robotnik.com - A Canadian Online retailer for everything PC. Good place to get HDs, Burners etc.
BlackPhoto.com - Blacks is a Camera store. You can purchase Camera's and accessories online from here.
Sears.ca - A bit of a gip since you can find all the products in the catalogs anyway. Again, everyone should know what Sears is.
That's pretty much everything I can think of right now.
Here's a few items that can't be obtained from the above sites (now, most of these are in a way, special items - clothing, hydration packs etc.) but if anyone knows places to get them online, leave a comment or send me an e-mail.
Shoes - I would really like to know of a good Canadian friendly site with a nice selection of shoes - walking, hiking, general sneakers etc.
Clothes - A nice site for shirts, jeans, jackets and the like would be more than welcome.
Backpacks - I just found out about a company called CamelBak today (I know I'm late to the game). They specialize in Hydration Packs (BackPack's with a bladder that you can fill with water, that have tubing so you have easy access to clean water while hiking, biking etc). I would be interested in knowing where to get CamelBak backpacks (so far Moosjaw.com seems to be the best store, but something a little closer to home would be nice).
Any site that sells even regular backpacks, bps with laptop compartments etc. would be much appreciated.
Anyone have any sites they would like to see added (I'm sure there most be other specialty area's that have not applied to me yet) that someone would know about\may like to recommend.
I'd really like to have a comprehensive list of Canadian friendly online retailers gathered. Help if you can!
Thanks!
