Xbox 360 - Crashing Tests

Xbox-Scene has a good article up about Xbox 360s crashing like a mofo. It can be viewed here.

On another note, a great review of the Xbox 360 (via HardOCP) can be viewed here.

I think its safe to say that unless you won your Xbox 360 (Sean - :P) that you should probably hold in buying one until the bugs are either isolated or ironed out in a subsequent release.

eMule And D-Link Routers

This isn't really fresh news or anything, but its new to me. I've been using a wireless D-Link router i picked up on the cheap from futureshop for a while now. The router works fine, the interface is really nice, but i kept having issues with KAD saying it was firewalled when I would use eMule.

I finally cracked tonight and decided to Google it and see why KAD kept saying it was firewalled. Within the first few results D-Link routers kept coming up. I still have my old Linksys router so I hooked it up, reconfigured my network and low and behold, KAD is now connected sans firewalled message. My eMule download speeds have shot up by about three times what they were.

I guess this is just an FYI for anyone that can't get KAD to connect properly and is using a D-Link router, the issue just might be hardware. It was in my case anyway.

EvilLyrics

I just found this on Digg and it fucking rocks.

EvilLyrics can sync itself up with Winamp (and a ton of other players) and automatically fetch lyrics for the song thats playing. I have an HSI connection and it gets the lyrics pretty much isntantaniously. You have to modify the name tag settings in Winamp (but the application can do this automatically when you install it) for it to work but godamn its worth it.

I finally know what Jello is saying. Go DK go!

Download (I can't figure out how to get the "stable" release, so i'm linking to a beta file, but i installed it and its working fine.)
